Instead, if you would like to have a brief telephone chat with me (free of charge) to find out a little more about the way I work, before you book a consultation, then please contact me and we can arrange
The initial consultation is an opportunity for you to discuss the reasons for seeking therapy and to ask any questions you may have about the process
There is no “right way” to do therapy but often people feel nervous when making the initial contact. I endeavour to be sensitive to any anxiety new patients may bring with them to the first meeting
“Getting on” with your therapist ie the relationship between patient and therapist is important. The initial consultation is therefore also, an opportunity for us to meet each other to see if we can work together
I treat all enquiries in the strictest confidence
The fee for an initial consultation meeting is £50 (50 minutes)
If, after the initial consultation, you think you would like to start therapy sessions with me, then we can discuss practical arrangements for example, the day and time of sessions
If, however, at the end of the consultation you feel therapy with me is not for you, there is no obligation to continue. We might look together at other options which might be more suitable for you
